  • 1 15 oz can Juanita’s Spicy Cheese Sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 12-15 fried tortilla chips
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 15 oz can pinto beans, drained
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 3 green onions, sliced thin
  • 8 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
STEP 1

Cook ground beef with dried seasonings in a large skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.

STEP 2

Stir in tomatoes, onions, tomato sauce, water, seasonings, rice, and beans, and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until bubbling. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to check rice tenderness.

STEP 3

Heat Juanita’s Spicy Cheese Sauce in a small pan. Stir in 1/2 can of evaporated milk a little at a time until the cheese sauce is pourable and has a silky-smooth texture.

STEP 4

When beef and rice mixture is ready, stir in half of the cheese sauce until blended in. Fold in crushed tortilla chips. Garnish with green onions and serve with a side of tortilla chips and extra queso.
